Underneath the bridge runs the winding Cold River, which directly fronts on the property's eastern boundary. Across the bank is Shrewsbury's popular Warren Swimming Hole, which is enjoyed by locals all Summer. On the far side of the covered bridge is a small parking area and a short trail that leads to the picnic area and wading pools. The best building spot is above the river at a flat area on Cold River Road, where there's just enough room before the topography drops off.
